Thought I’d do a peice that wasn’t dark and maybe a little bit on the lighter side for once….
Well this is one of my favorite photo manipulations of myself to date. I really like how the contrast and the eyes turned out and as you can see at the time of writing this post its the image I chode for the background to my site.
Raven Haired Girl
Original Photo: -LINK-
Programs Used: Photoshop
Well I found the stock photo by Buscuittt on deviantart and came up with this idea to make some ravens part of her hair hence the appropriate title for the piece. Was a pretty fun piece to make and I used the usual techniques such as Masking out subjects, some blurs, overlays and such. Like always there’s a few things I would like to touch up but that’s life as an impatient artist
Hope you enjoy it.
Smoking Lady
Model: -Link-
Programs Used: photoshop
Well for this I started with a photo thanks to Faestock on deviantart. The original photo had short hair and I wanted long so I started by drawing in the hair. Then I felt I wanted a cold look so I changed the colours to blues and purples. The smoke was created with some smoke brushes and a lil freehand editing. Finished it off with the highlights to bring out the eyes and a nice blue background.
Spark Plug
Programs Used: Photoshop
Model: Me
Well this is one of my favorite photo manipulations I’ve done. I started of with a stock photo of myself and a picture of a spark-plug that I found around the net. I just wanted to make a surreal sorta peice so I added the background the gun and a little bit of wires for brains. In the end this is the finished peice. I do have this one as a print hanging in my house too
Those of you who know me know that I’ve started my sleeves. I wanted to just make a quick ongoing post that I will update as the work progresses with a little gallery.
First I’d like to throw out a plug to Lawson at Art & Soul in Courtenay, BC as that’s where my work is being done. You can access their website here –LINK-
Dragon Breathe
Model: Me
Software Used: Photoshop
Going threw all my stock shots of myself I found this image of me that was perfect for some sort of “smoke” type picture. I started of with some smoke brushes and drew in some smoke. Then looking at it I decided it needed to go in a new direction so decided on a dragon theme. After converting some lizard and fish images into dragonlike creatures I then decided I guess I should be a lil dragonish so added the horns and scales to myself. Like always there are alot of adjustment layers for blur and colour and such and this was what became of it all. Hope ya like
