VLC

VLC is in my opinion the best media player going these days and for some good reasons. Its lightweight, supports pretty much every operating system, Allows you to stream your media, Its free and my favorite thing is there is no need to download and install codec packs to get all your different media formats to playback.

Death Express

Death Express

Programs Used: Photoshop

A little morbid I guess but whats the fun in doing art if ya cant go a lil dark sometimes or in my case most the time.  Found a picture of an old locomotive and thought Id make it into the Death Express. Lots of overlays, masking and various other filters and this is what ya get.

The Last Unicorn

The Last Unicorn

Software Used: Photoshop

Well I figured the last unicorn should be an undead one so I created this. This one actually took me a few hours to do and I’m still not really happy with how it turned out but here it is anyways. I started off with a replication of a horse skeleton photo. Then added a bunch of clouds, overlays a skull for a moon and some colour filters. Added the crows to push the whole death thing and well this is how the final image came out.

Whole World In Our Hands

Earth

Well I saw this concept in another image and thought I’d give it a shot in my own persepctive. Didnt come out as I wanted it but I guess the final result is fairly decent so decided to post it anyways.  Started of with a stock shot I took myself and with a few atlas images some displacement maps throw in a moon and some smokey cloud and this is what ya get.

Dragon Breathe

Dragon Breathe

Model: Me

Software Used: Photoshop

Going threw all my stock shots of myself I found this image of me that was perfect for some sort of “smoke” type picture. I started of with some smoke brushes and drew in some smoke. Then looking at it I decided it needed to go in a new direction so decided on a dragon theme. After converting some lizard and fish images into dragonlike creatures I then decided I guess I should be a lil dragonish so added the horns and scales to myself.  Like always there are alot of adjustment layers for blur and colour and such and this was what became of it all. Hope ya like :)

Music Fairy

Music Fairy

Going threw the stock images on Deviantart I found this photograph by Lina-Tsu which for obvious reason I thought would look great as a music fairy.  Starting off with a forest photograph I took on Vancouver Island for the background. Then adding some images of butterfly wings and a mushrrom followed but a peice of sheet music as an overlay just for effect.  A few various filters and some colour overlays too blend it all together and this is what I ended up with. Hope ya like it.

Recentlly I had the honor of having  a fellow artist making a piece that was inspired by one of my pieces. I have to admit it’s a pretty neet feeling having that happen and I just wanted to share her art to return the favour.  So this is “Angel of Anguish: which was inspired by my piece “Catching Faith” which I will post at the bottom of this post.

Well I finally got the site to a somewhat decent state that I could take off the Maintenance flag.  I still have a lot of work left to do on it like post a ton of blog entries and fix some things that are bugging me but at least it’s viewable anyways. Some other things I’d like to do in the future with the site is a blog post for each of my art pieces, lots of tutorials blog posts, clean up the services contact etc. pages and complete them to look a lot more stylish instead of just useable. I just haven’t had much time to work on the site but wanted to get it back up to some degree so hope it is useable for you all and enjoy….
